Web7 Oct 2024 · Vixen. EMI Manhattan. This all-female metal band was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1980, when lead guitarist and founding member, the late Jan Kuehnemund, was still in high school. After relocating the group to Los Angeles in the mid-'80s, Vixen quickly made a name for themselves and scored a record deal with EMI. Seattle's music history begins in the mid-19th century, when the first European settlers arrived. In 1909, amidst the boosterism engendered by the city's first world's fair, the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, the Seattle City Council adopted "Seattle, the Peerless City" (words by Arthur O.
